STARTING WEEK 7 OF SAXENDA
Well it looks like my body has adjusted to weight loss and is gradually staring to go back down. I lost .6 this past week for a total of 17.2 pounds. Not as much as I would have liked but as long as the scale is going down and not up I'm going to take it and be happy. Especially considering I traveled this past weekend and spent about 15 hours on the road with no healthy food around.
My side effects are all gone except for constipation which is the primary problem with this medication for most people. I definitely need to add more vegetables and fiber into my diet, but for now I take colace daily. One positive from the medicine is I still get full really quickly which is helping me with my portion control.
My kids all start school in 2 weeks so i'm hoping that will free me up to having time to exercise. That's the one area I desperately need improvement on.
I'm going to do a blog here soon that is a breakdown of what I eat, how and when I do my shot, side effects etc. Basically a quick reference guide for those who stumble upon this blog looking for that info and don't have time to read through all the blogs.
I know some of you reading are on a similar journey. I'd love to hear how you are doing!!
Until next week!!!!

Are you still going? I had started on 3/22/17 and have kept going. I reached a place where I didn't lose any for a few months, but I wasn't exactly watching what I ate nor was I very active. But now I'm back on track and I'm down from 197 to 154. Went to the doc and he's good with keeping me on this until I get down to about 135. I'm 5'4" so 135 is still on the "high" side of "acceptable" BMI weight. Good luck and I hope you are still losing.
